The Page Crew

Maddie decided that yesterday was as good as a day as any to start moving those little legs of hers. She took about 5 steps, all on her own initiative, towards mommy. After a huge congrats hug, I noticed that she didn’t seem too phased by this progress. Rusty assured me that it was probably due to the fact that she climbs out of her crib at night and walks downstairs to watch baby einstein and eat some cereal, and therefore this is not something new to HER. I am sure that this new phase in all of our lives will mean busy times for mommy and daddy as we have to chase down a one year old! =o) Keep us in your prayers! =o)

Being that today is Saturday, we decided to go out as a family & enjoy a day at the park.  We brought the dog along so that he wouldn’t cry up a storm when we left.  At the park we enjoyed walking around, watching the kids go around on their electric scooters (whoever invented those is contributing to the obesity of our children….) & most importantly, flying our new kite.  Summer picked up a cheapy kite at a local store just to see if it would be something that we’d enjoy…..believe it or not, we did.  Even Maddie thought it was quite intriguing to watch it fly around the sky.  (granted, we all felt quite dorky with the 3 dollar kite getting in the ways of the 100+ dollar kites with wings & figures.)

Summer has always been opposed to the concept of BLOGGING….that is, until she realized how much we have to say about Maddie!  So, in light of her new revalation, we are starting a new section of our website entitled, “Stories of our Lives”.  Here we will tell you little snippets of what’s been happening with our princess:

Today is my Auntie’s birthday!  We’re having her over on Sunday & cannot wait to hang out with her!
