Hello Out There…

We are all doing well here-just been busy. We spent Friday at Glendale Adventist Hospital getting Itty Bitty Baby checked out. We thought we might be leaking amniotic fluid, but our Super Doctor confirmed that all is okay and going well. We are learning more and more how awesome our Creator is and how dependant we truly are on Him for all things. Maddie is doing great-well on her way to being completely potty trained. YAY! =) Here’s some recent pictures…I haven’t been taking as many lately…no excuse…ENJOY!

Itty Bitty Baby

UPDATE ON MOST RECENT POST…

We have recieved some concerned responses to the post about the ultrasound we had done yesterday. Thank you for your concerns and prayers. There may have been misunderstanding so we wanted to clarify. The baby is fine-we are not concerned, the doctor is not concerned. Madison had the same exact little “brain cysts” that this baby does. All it really is is just left over “stuff” that got stuck in the baby’s brain while they were growing and forming at such a fast rate. This is extremely common-just yesterday the doctor saw 3 other ladies who their babies had the same thing. We trust that God makes NO mistakes and that He is sovereign over every little detail of this pregnancy and this child’s life. So, please don’t be concerned either-we have a great God whom we trust and serve and knows us better than we know ourselves! Main post follows…

Today Summer & I went to a specialist to get an in-depth ultrasound of  “itty bitty”.   It is absolutely amazing the advances that have been made in technology, we were able to see the baby as clear as day.  We made our intent known immediately that we did not want to find out the gender, so they were very kind to guard us from any information.  During the ultra-sound I noticed that on the brain of the baby there was a similar black spot to what Maddie had in the womb.  The lady called in the doctor after the appointment & sure enough, they announced that the baby had what is called a choroid plexus cyst on the brain.  This is one sign of a potential chromosone defect or issue, however, we are not at all concerned since we had the same thing before.  This doctor & ultrasound technician were MUCH better than the previous ones.  For those that don’t remember, the last time with Maddie, at this point we were advised to abort the baby since more than likely it would die within a few weeks of birth.  Praise the Lord that I have a built in distrust for doctor’s advise =).    We do ask that you pray for itty bitty baby, but Summer & I are in great spirits knowing that God has indeed formed this baby inside of her womb:  “For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother’s womb.  I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  Wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well.  My frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.  Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Thy book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.  How precious also are Thy thoughts to me, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.  When I awake, I am still with Thee.”  Psalm 139:13-18ittybitty

Encouraging Music…

My husband is such a GREAT MAN! =) I heard a new song on the Christian radio staion on our XM radio and absolutely was hooked. It is by Casting Crowns and is called “Slow Fade”. It was used in the movie “Fireproof”-(a great movie to see if you haven’t.) Anyways, Rusty had been hearing how much I love this newfound song and surprised me with the c.d. for my birthday! Every song on this c.d. is packed with truth, doctrine and worship. It is well worth the money-it will encourage your heart throughout the day!

New Flooring

For Summer’s birthday, I finally decided to give in to both of our desires to replace our incredibly dirty carpet with hard flooring.  We spent A LONG time trying to pick out the best flooring while still being sensible with our decision.  After much ado we opted to go with hardwood & we absolutely love it!  My brother Spencer came over this past Thursday to help us move ALL of our furniture downstairs out into the garage & then the demolition took place.  On Monday we moved everything back in & wow does our house look different.  (the only downside is that it is a little bit slippery if you’re wearing socks….Maddie & Summer have both fallen twice).   Ironically, this week Summer is potty-training Maddie, so we must say  that having hardwood floors has been a blessing for those “oops” moments - spray a little stuff & wipe it up!  For those of you that know Summer, she has a strange thing for feet, so of course there is the typical shoe picture here, but these pictures give a general idea of what the new house looks like.
